Toscanova, the amazing food, the fashionably fabulous customers and the entertaining environment make Toscanova a favorite for many. Serving lunch and dinner 7 days a week, Toscanova is always bustling and continually offers Chef Sciandri's new and innovative specials, a modern approach on his classic dishes.

The Sciandri's

The Sciandri family moved to Los Angeles in 1985, Agostino became executive chef at II Gardino in Beverly Hills for three years and then moved on to open Toscana in Brentwood. Here relationships were made with Hollywood's heavyweights Robert De Niro, Bob and Harvey Weinstein and Tony and Ridley Scott; together the group opened the trattoria AGO in West Hollywood.

The Sciandri family has opened several restaurants throughout Los Angeles since their move in 1985. Sandro Sciandri, son of Agostino, and Michele Rivello are the backbone of the family restaurant group operating and managing: Caffé Roma Beverly Hills, Sortino Brentwood, Toscanova Century City, Toscanova Calabasas, and the Juicy Bird Century City.

Each restaurant has it's own personality and delectable cuisine but all follow the Italian rule of hospitality; to make sure you are comfortable and have everything you need.

Robert Herscu

Robert Herscu, a native of Australia, graduated with a degree in economics and accounting from Monash University in Melbourne. He moved to New York where he worked for Shearson Lehman Brothers in mergers and acquisitions and for a family property development company. Mr. Herscu then formed the HQ group of companies, including those owning and operating vending machines in shopping centers and malls. He has become a successful Entrepreneur having multiple businesses throughout his 20 years experience.

Robert fell in love with Ago's classic touch to Italian cooking and immense hospitality. Together they brought their strong professional backgrounds and the idea of "TOSCANOVA" was born. An Italian fine dining experience that the shopping malls have not seen before.

The collaboration between Herscu and Sciandri has produced a Toscanova Franchise in Westfield Century City and Calabasas Commons, which are both premier centers in Southern California.

Jeffrey Friedmann

Jeffrey Friedmann is CEO of Looop (www.looop.com.au) a private equity venture capital group which operates numerous and successful business enterprises internationally.

Looop has ongoing interest in restaurants, manufacturing, import, retail, property development and management. Looop has ongoing interests in South East Asia, the Middle East, Oceana and the USA where it maintains offices for those regions.

Looop’s clients, tenants and joint venture partners include a number of well-known publicly listed companies. Jeff Friedmann is an experienced business and private equity investment analyst that has diverse experience in medium and large scale business enterprises. He maintains a strong personal involvement in the decisions of Looop and its subsidiary companies.
